Cafe Momentum Wedding | Dallas Wedding Photographer | Kate & Co Photography

Eric & Erica's wedding day was one of my shorter days but that in no way meant that it wasn't packed full of love and laughter! When I met the two of them at their engagement session they were so kind and open. They both genuinely wanted to get to know me. That depth of care went into every thought for their wedding! They weren't concerned with the hair and makeup time but more in thought about the people that would be there with them sharing their special day at this special place. Café Momentum has is own special meaning! The sweet café in downtown Dallas works off of the premise to Eat, Drink, and Change Lives. The restaurant has a 12 month paid post-release internship for young adults coming out of juvenile detention. Each and every one of these kids worked hard and made sure to stop and watch the ceremony. I didn't know a thing about the restaurant walking in but it was so dear to my heart once I knew the story. My dad, who passed away right after my own wedding, worked at a juvenile detention facility. I remember summers going with him and hanging out there while he worked sometimes. One thing I remember was asking about when they leave there....what happens? His response was "we do what we can but when they leave a lot of times they don't have many options and they just go back to the life and end up back in places like this". So what Café Momentum offers is a great thing for kids to move forward and do something positive with their life! SOOOOO with that said (I think I went off too long there) I LOVE that Eric and Erica picked this venue for their wedding! It showed just how big their hearts are! Now for some photos!!!
